Dermal filler injections use a hyaluronic acid (HA) base. Injectable HA is a replication of the naturally occurring molecule in the body. HA is known for its unique ability to carry 1,000 times its weight in water, providing deep hydration.

Dermal filler is a soft, gel-like substance made of hyaluronic acid (HA). Filler injections are used to improve volume while deeply hydrating tissues. The results of dermal filler injections are semi-permanent, lasting approximately six to twelve months. The body will naturally metabolize the filler over time.
Your Glowtox injector will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area before injection. Next, the treatment area will be cleaned and sanitized. Then, your injector will inject the filler into the area with a needle or cannula. Filler injections feel comparable to a pinch and can cause some discomfort. The pain dissipates quickly, but you can expect considerable swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site.
You will notice the results immediately. Ask for a handheld mirror to watch your injector administer the filler under the skin! Swelling will appear within minutes and last for up to two weeks. After two weeks, the results of your filler injections will settle into place. Maintenance injections are needed every six to twelve months to maintain the results.
