Chemical peels are facial treatments that exfoliate dead skin cells, encourage cell regeneration, stimulate collagen production, and prevent or reverse signs of aging. During your skin assessment, your Glowtox aesthetician will select the right chemical peel for your needs.
A chemical peel improves skin texture by eliminating dead skin cells and encouraging rapid cell turnover. After a chemical peel is applied, the surface layer of the skin will peel off in a matter of days or weeks. The results are firmer, more supple-looking skin.
Glowtox uses a variety of chemical peels to address different concerns.

Chemical peels address the following concerns:
The benefits of a chemical peel treatment include fuller, plumper skin, better tone and texture, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, and a brighter, more glowing complexion.
Chemical peel treatments are performed rather quickly. First, your Glowtox aesthetician will cleanse and prep the skin. Next, a unique and safe chemical peel solution will be applied to the face. Once the solution has been applied, you are good to go. Over the next few days or weeks, the damaged skin will peel off. It is vital to follow post-treatment instructions, stay out of direct sunlight, and not pick at the flaking skin.
It can take up to 10 days to shed the old, damaged skin and reveal the healthier, glowing skin underneath—plan for flaking and shedding skin for up to two weeks post-treatment. Do not peel the skin yourself or help it shed. Do not rub your face, exfoliate, or use a towel. You must let the skin shed off on its own. “Helping” the skin shed can result in scarring. When washing your face or exiting the shower, gently pat the face dry. Refrain from rubbing in moisturizer or serum, and always follow the post-treatment protocol from your Glowtox provider.
A chemical peel is not painful, but it can be uncomfortable. Your aesthetician will help relieve discomfort by providing you with a fan or topical numbing solution. Some advanced chemical peels contain a numbing agent. Communicate with your Glowtox aesthetician, and they can effectively manage your comfort levels.
Your Glowtox aesthetician will help you develop a treatment plan to achieve your aesthetic goals. Some clients prefer to receive a chemical peel a few times a year, while others require less.
