Sofwave® uses SUPERB™ Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam technology and delivers energy to only 1.5 mm in the mid-dermis which is the optimal depth to firm and tighten skin. The device emits sound waves that are then converted to heat. The process of heating the tissue leads to the body producing collagen and in as little as a few weeks you may notice firmer, smoother, tighter looking skin or a reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The integrated cooling system, Sofcool™ protects the outer layer of skin so there is no down time and enables the device to reach deep to the layers it needs to treat.

A good candidate for Sofwave® is generally in their 30s and older and has mild to moderate skin laxity or cellulite. The treatment is safe and effective for all skin types and colors, but we encourage you to have a consultation before booking to see if you are a great candidate.

Results can be seen as quickly as one-week post-treatment. You can expect steady improvements for 12 weeks after your treatment as collagen continues to be remodeled. 

Some patients experience discomfort on certain areas of the face and body which is generally very well tolerated. When you arrive for your appointment, your provider will apply a topical numbing cream for 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the treatment. Pronox™ analgesia is available to you at no cost if you desire it and will be discussed at your appointment.
